South Florida is notorious for its hurricanes but Floridians have always stood strong in the face of these storms, chalking them up to the trade-off for living in paradise. To understand the region’s resilient nature look no further than the University of Miami’s mascot, a marsh bird called the Ibis, which is known for its bravery as hurricanes approach.
While EVault doesn’t have a mascot, as a business the company does stand strong by ensuring that customers are protected from disaster 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Think of EVault as an Ibis before, during and after the storm.
So where does a company specializing in disaster recovery and backup go when it wants to grow its team and company footprint? Florida, naturally. After an extensive search EVault has opened its newest US office in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area. Now, this region can be known for its hurricanes and for top-notch experts to face them head on.
EVault has offices around the globe, so some may question why the company has made an investment in South Florida.
First off, South Florida provides a gateway to Latin America, a market that has been growing exponentially. EVault’s engagement in the region is best understood through partnerships the company has developed with companies like Alcateia, a leading Brazilian IT provider as well as our extended our partnership with Recall. Combined, these enable end users in the region to take full advantage of EVault solutions across Mexico and Brazil. EVault’s Sam Aued, directs channel sales for Latin America. Working day-to-day from the Fort Lauderdale office makes travel to and from Central and South America easy, which ensures he can actively engage with partners and assist with sales activities.

Another determining factor to EVault’s view of South Florida is the region’s tech-savvy and culturally diverse talent pool. Both are incredibly important to a company expanding in a region known for its personality and color. So far our team of seven professionals is smart and fun – and we’ll be hiring more. Because the work done from this office is so diverse EVault is seeking staff with the skills to speak the languages of the region and understand its culture mix. Those interested should keep a close watch on our job board.
Another compelling reason for this decision is the inherent understanding of the importance of disaster planning among South Floridians. When providers and users have grown up in an area rocked by natural disaster, they can more easily discuss the necessity of employing resources like those in EVault’s portfolio. I’ve been working in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area for years so the thought of being in the eye of hurricane country speaks highly to our investment in backup and disaster recovery services. Where better to protect those in high risk than in the high-risk area itself?!?
As this office takes shape, it’s been especially gratifying to see the same spirit of enthusiasm and entrepreneurism, that drives innovation in EVault’s other locations, also come alive, here. Make no mistake, our white furniture, open design concept and bright colors brings a Latin flavor that is unique to this region – as it should be.
We hope you’ll come and see it for yourself as we host an open house in the coming months – check back here for those details.
